Midtown Trail - Community Greenspace
EOR worked with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board to add community amenities and improve accessibility to this underutilized park area along the inner-urban, multi-use, Midtown Greenway Trail. EOR improved this former industrial site by adding internal pathways and connections, as well as a public viewing stage, suitable for a variety of community events from informal theater productions to yoga classes.
The surrounding open space was re-graded to create a viewing lawn and a wheel-chair accessible viewing platform was added. Additional stage improvements include sails as shade features and lighting elements to be installed when future funding is secured.
